Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the price of my event?
Once a final price has been agreed, this includes everything. Travel to and from your venue, the setup my equipment and me to DJ for your function.

How long do you need to set up and how much space do you require?
I will normally be at the venue approximately one hour before the event is due to start, and an area approx. 4m x 2m is ideal. For larger functions more time (and space) may be required.

Will you play old fashioned wedding songs like 'the birdie song', 'agadoo', etc?
I get asked this question almost daily. It is your event, so I will play the music that you want. However I do have a few tracks that have not made it into my database for reasons of taste and credibility.

When do you require payment of the final balance?
Remaining balances are due two weeks before the date of the event. My booking system will send an email reminder four weeks before.

Can you also serve as an MC (Master of Ceremonies) for the reception?
Yes, I’m happy to serve as your MC. From welcoming your guests to announcing key moments like the cake cutting and first dance, I’ll ensure everything runs smoothly and on time.

Can We Submit Our Music Choices?
Absolutely! Yes once the booking is confirmed, you will receive a username & password to login to my website and here you can send me song requests.

What sort of music do you play?
Pretty much anything you want me to play, I have vast selection of music.  While my job is to read the crowd and get people dancing, I always give the opportunity for you to give me a playlist which I can then build around.

My Mum is worried that the music will be too loud and our guests won’t be able to hear themselves talk, will that be a problem?
That is a very valid question and I am always sensitive to making sure the volume is set to the correct level for everyone to enjoy the function. Furthermore I will always adjust the volume during the course of the evening, if required.

What will the DJ wear?
My dress code is smart casual, however, shirt or black tie will be worn upon request.

What happens if you’re unable to attend due to an emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, I have a network of professional DJs who can step in. I’ll ensure that whoever covers the event is briefed and fully prepared to deliver an exceptional experience.

Will the DJ take Requests on the night?
As well as offering a music request list for before the night, I am more than happy to hear from your guests. It really helps me to see what your guests will get dancing to.

What makes your services different from other wedding DJs?I truly care … I combine years of experience, a highly personalised approach. My focus is on creating a seamless, unforgettable celebration tailored to your unique style and preferences. And making your special day a day to remember.

How do you handle unexpected changes in the schedule?
Flexibility is key at weddings, and I’m experienced in adapting to changes on the day. Whether it’s a delay or a sudden adjustment, I’ll work with your coordinator to keep things running smoothly.

How far in advance do I need to book?
The short answer is as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment. There is only one of me.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance and a PAT certificate?
Of course! I get my electrical equipment tested every year and have PLI insurance covering £10m. This is a requirement DJs by most Venus , and I can send my certificates to venues or clients on request.

If you ever have any other questions please contact me to discuss them.
